SEND

Enabling all children to flourish

Welcome to the Inclusion and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) section of our website. We hope you will find all of the information here that you need but if you have any further questions regarding our SEND provision at Witley then please contact our SENCo, Mrs Phillipa Allison, on 01428 682420 or email: senco@witley.surrey.sch.uk

At Witley C of E Infant School we are committed to offering an inclusive learning environment to ensure the best possible progress for all of our pupils whatever their needs. The majority of pupils will have their needs met through our normal classroom arrangements and adaptive teaching, which may include additional short-term support. We believe that meeting the needs of all pupils is the responsibility of all teaching staff. All of our teachers are responsible for identifying pupils with SEND, and our SENCo works with staff to ensure that those pupils who may need additional support are identified at an early stage. Each child is a special and important member of our community and we pride ourselves in supporting all children to enable them to flourish.

Mrs Phillipa Allison manages the provision for our pupils with any additional needs liaising closely with the class teachers, teaching assistants and parent/carer. We are also fortunate to have Mrs Sara Alston on our team. Sara is our external SEND consultant who visits once every term to discuss support for children with Educational Health Care Plans.
